Training at levels of high intensity requires a different diet than other forms of exercise. To get the most out of your workouts, it's important to understand your body's unique nutritional needs and how to support it from beginning to end.


Antioxidants are nutrients that naturally occur in plant-based foods, especially those with bright colors. They are also found in some beverages, such as wine and tea. Some common types are flavanols (chocolate), resveratrol (wine), lycopene (tomatoes) and vitamins A, C and E.


You have just finished your workout. You're sweaty, tired and breathing heavily. Maybe you're feeling light-headed or a bit dizzy. It's time to head for the showers and, more importantly, think about your post-workout recovery. But what should you consider?
